Chambers Announce Intention to Merge

Dear West County Chamber Members,

We have exciting news that we want to be sure you hear from us first - The West County Chamber (WCC) and the Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce (BWCC) have signed an agreement to explore merging the two chambers. With both longtime CEO's retiring or moving out of state, the timing is perfect to combine the strength of these two organizations which will directly benefit both memberships and the region.

BWCC and WCC are well respected organizations, known for their strong business advocacy, membership programs and involvement in the region. This is an opportunity to have an even greater influence in the area, and the board of directors of both chambers are enthused about the great potential of this proposed merger.

Details will follow, but our goal is that the merger will occur by the end of the year. Currently, both organizations are jointly interviewing for a new CEO who will be onboard by that time. Rest assured, your membership will not be affected in any way but positive - with more networking opportunities, events and a stronger voice as one entity.

If you have any questions, contact the West County Chamber office at 410-672-3422 and Randy Fisher, board chair or Claire Louder, President & CEO, will get back with you. For more information, see our press release at Chambers Announce Intention to Merge.
